We're Mitch and Lindsey Hartt - owners of Hartt's Barbecue & Catering!

We moved back to BCS in 2020 after both graduating from Texas A&M in 2011 (whoop!). We began this business Fall 2023 and have a passion for intentional, detailed CARE for our clients along with a love of the CRAFT that comes with delicious, quality food.

Together, we bring years of experience in food service, management, barbecue (AND culinary!) skills, and combine it with a desire to serve our COMMUNITY through food and hospitality. We love Jesus and love the opportunity to follow His example in sacrificial service, intentional hospitality, and love for people.

Your Questions, Answered

  • We cater a wide range of events, including weddings, rehearsal dinners, private parties, corporate events, family reunions, and celebrations of all kinds. Whether you’re hosting an intimate backyard gathering or a large-scale wedding, we’re happy to tailor our services to fit your vision.

  • Great question! While BBQ is our specialty and plays a piece in a lot of our dishes, Mitchell is talented in a WIDE range of culinary expertise. We have a Non-BBQ Menu upon request!

  • Full-service catering means we take care of everything food-related so you can enjoy your event stress-free. This can include:

    • On-site staff

    • Passed or stationed appetizers

    • Buffet service

    • Bussing tables and maintaining the buffet

    • Providing disposables or working with your rented china

    • Coordinating timing with your event flow

    We’ll walk through the details with you to ensure the service level matches your needs.

  • Of course! We put a lot of CARE into our dietary restriction options, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, or allergy-conscious options. Just let us know your needs during the planning process so we can accommodate appropriately.

  • Yes! Our drop-off catering is perfect for more casual events or hosts who already have help on-site. We’ll prepare your food fresh, deliver it hot and ready to serve, and make sure you have everything you need for a smooth setup.

  • Yes! Our professional, friendly staff can serve food, refresh the buffet, bus tables, and help keep everything running smoothly. Staffing is customized based on your guest count and event style, and huge part of what it means to bring a little HARTT to your event!

  • Yes—tastings are available, especially for weddings and larger events. Tastings allow you to experience our flavors, portions, and presentation firsthand and help finalize your menu with confidence. We offer a 2 Meat 2 Side tasting for $50, which will go toward your order if you book with us! Email harttsbarbecue@gmail.com for scheduling.

  • While we have three signature menus for large events —barbecue, fajitas, and Greek bowls — we love working with clients to create a menu that fits their tastes, event style, and budget. If you have something specific in mind, let’s talk!

  • We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding and event seasons. That said, feel free to reach out even if your event is coming up soon—we’ll always do our best to accommodate.
